Congrats on the commendation. Remember this day next time you get nervous about work maybe it will help. Treasure up those happy moments(like Peter Pan) to draw on in the weak ones!!!

Hi Nurseboy, Thats probably a normal reaction even for people who don't have panic disorder. I know people who have no anxiety/panic issues who have been in similar situations and have completely freaked out and went into a panic thinking something bad is going to happen and it doesn't. Its seems to be just a normal human response, everyone gets panicky and anxious over things at some point in their life so in your case it may have just been a normal human response but because of knowing you have panic disorder you've pinned the blame on that because your'e so used to having panic. Make sense? Just a thought anyway :)

yesterday before i went to work i had this HUGE panic attack. i knew it was ridiculous but i felt like i was going to be hauled into the director's office and be fired for all the mistakes i have made at work (no many). i was very nervous. that day at work, i received a commendation for a good job and my director announced that she quit as is moving to denver, colorado! HOW STUPID WAS I TO PANIC!
