If I may also recommend a book:  Quitting smoking for Dummies. :)  I ordered this from Amazon and it was a huge help.  It gives you straight up honest options and information about smoking, quitting, and NRT (nicotine replacement therapy.)   Good Luck in your quit, I'll be pulling for you!

Hi supermum, I am curious to what you expect to achieve in changing your brand of cigarettes ? May i suggest you go buy / loan the Allen Carr 'easy way' book, it actually recommends you read it while you smoke. Speaking from experience, the reading & posting here at the Stop smoking center along + 'the book' W I L L change your behaviour in preparation to quitting. I quit cold turkey via the above, it works ! Welcome aboard !

Super,

Welcome!

Preparation is key and it helps to work through the program slowly and to gain valuable information.  Changing your behaviour and habits is a large part of your quit, the type of cigarettes is entirely up to you.  Working toward your quit date is essential to make this work.

Make lists of coping mechanisms
Make lists of activities, hobbies and relaxation techniques
Make lists of rewards to help reach your goals

Take the time to post often and ask questions, the members do know where you are coming from and can be of great assistance to you.
