Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. It has been hard, but for some reason that was one of the worst days I've had since her passing. I really don't know why, and anymore I just have to go with the flow because I never know what my grief feels like dealing me that day. The strange thing about all of it was a cigarette never entered my mind. I have truly quit this time, and it feels really good. And if I did it, anyone can. Hopefully I will see you all at 4 years. Keep fighting the good fight.
Happy 3 years to you. I'm also impressed with your determination with your quit after such a loss. Keep the faith, I'm sure your Mom is in good hands now. I wish you the best
Hello PB - You have a reached a huge milestone in this journey to remain quit. Very impressive what with all that has been going on in your life lately. I am also very sorry to hear of your huge loss. What a terrible thing to happen to your Mom and your family. I agree with Rock; mourn as long as you need and come visit us here for support or distraction whenever your can. Take good care. Eyja
Hey Cbus buddy! Congrats on 3 smoke free trips around the sun. So sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. May your cherished memories continue to comfort you. I'm just glad that you remained smoke free through her illness. And I know she is glad that you remained smoke free too! Celebrate when you are ready, and mourn as long as you need. We've all got your back PB!
Hi PB, I too am very sorry to hear about losing your mother. I hope you are able to find some peace through the dark times. I imagine your mother is SO proud of you - and you are an inspiration to many - knowing what you went through this year and yet staying strong in your quit.
Reaching 3 years is fantastic - and there are no rules as to when you choose to celebrate it!
Congratulations on your 3 smoke-free years!!! I'm so glad that you could stop by and share your milestone with you! I do hope that you found a reward fitting your major accomplishment!!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. It really is hard to lose family, especially to cancer. I've lost more than one close family member to lung cancer and it really does suck! Here's hoping that you and I and all of the rest of our fellow quit buddies here have quit soon enough in our lives to avoid that illness so that our family members will now have to be put through the pain and agony we have. I'm here for you if you want to commiserate.
