Enjoying the health. When I smoked I was always looking for the next time/place I could light up. Now those places are few and far between and I would imagine lots of anxiety, especially if one smokes as much as I did. Now I can enjoy a movie, go to a nice restuarant, attend large conventions, car shows, and the like without having to plot the closest exit for when I need a smoke. Our state just passed no smoking laws for bars. All winter long I've watched patrons and employees running out in the cold for a smoke. Too many good things to mention in one mail but mainly the freedom to not worry about your next smoke.

Thanks for posting Rambler!

It's so inspiring to see how people like you succeeded at this!

Aside from not having to stand outside in the cold what is the best part about being a non smoker?

Not one single puff since Feb 7, 2007. Quit cold turkey after 50 year habit. I dont think I have had a cold since I quit, and I live in North Dakota!! No serious health issues and I'm still working at 67. I sure hate to watch the smokers stand outside at 30 below zero like I used to do.
To be successful, you must understand it is all in your mind. Patches won't work, pills won't work, you have to set your mind to it--NOPE, Not One Puff Ever. My numbers show $11,500 saved in 7 years so I bought a Corvette instead of a pack.
